So Many Covers

I'm excited because I finally have final covers of the UK and German editions of The Shifter and Blue Fire. They look fabulous, and all are so different from each other. I also thinks is hysterical that all three book ones have different titles, but all book twos are the same.

The US Hardcover of The Shifter

The UK Hardcover of The Pain Merchants

The UK Paperback of The Pain Merchants
The German Cover of The Healer

The US Hardcover of Blue Fire

The UK Hardcover of Blue Fire

The German Cover of The Blue Fire

Aren't they awesome? Granted, maybe I'm biased here but I love every one of them.

  4. I'm partial to the US ones, but they are all pretty neat. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on book 2. Nya is such a spunky and determined character.

  12. Those are amazing! I especially like the German one of Book 2. She looks bad-A! I was surprised Book 1 had different titles. Didn't know they did that (except for the Philosopher's Stone). Is that common, then?

  13. I think it's fairly common, actually. Sometimes things just don't translate well, (Like Pain Merchants or Shifter) other times there's a cultural slang that doesn't work. Like "I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You" is called "Spy Girls" in Japan. The joke probably doesn't work there, but it's a great play on words for the spy genre in the US.

  14. The German covers are beautiful! I read the excerpt for The Shifter, too. Looks very good! But, um, are you really still a teen? I didn't write with that kind of focus as a teenager. I'm ... jeal-ous! Congrats! I look forward to reading your book soon.

  15. Thanks! And no, I'm a writer for teens, not a teen writer :) The books I wrote as a teen were horrible!
