So Many Covers

I'm excited because I finally have final covers of the UK and German editions of The Shifter and Blue Fire. They look fabulous, and all are so different from each other. I also thinks is hysterical that all three book ones have different titles, but all book twos are the same.

Aren't they awesome? Granted, maybe I'm biased here but I love every one of them.

    I'm partial to the US ones, but they are all pretty neat. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on book 2. Nya is such a spunky and determined character.

    Those are amazing! I especially like the German one of Book 2. She looks bad-A! I was surprised Book 1 had different titles. Didn't know they did that (except for the Philosopher's Stone). Is that common, then?

    I think it's fairly common, actually. Sometimes things just don't translate well, (Like Pain Merchants or Shifter) other times there's a cultural slang that doesn't work. Like "I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You" is called "Spy Girls" in Japan. The joke probably doesn't work there, but it's a great play on words for the spy genre in the US.

    The German covers are beautiful! I read the excerpt for The Shifter, too. Looks very good! But, um, are you really still a teen? I didn't write with that kind of focus as a teenager. I'm ... jeal-ous! Congrats! I look forward to reading your book soon.

    Thanks! And no, I'm a writer for teens, not a teen writer :) The books I wrote as a teen were horrible!
